CYF VISITS TUSKEGEE

Dear Acolytes of Butler Street CME Church,
I hope you all are having a wonderful start to this new year as we are closing out January. On behalf of the students, families, and staff at Cleveland Avenue Elementary, we want to extend our deepest gratitude for your incredible generosity and kindness. Your donation of coats, hats, scarves, and gloves has provided warmth and comfort to so many of our students, ensuring they are better prepared for the winter season. It inspired others to donate as well.
We are also truly grateful for the Thanksgiving food bins you provided to our families. The joy and relief on their faces as they received these thoughtful gifts were truly heartwarming. Your kindness not only provided nourishment but also uplifted spirits and strengthened our sense of community. We continued this gift of giving through creating a pop-up pantry that created access to more canned goods and pantry items as well. The impact of your generosity was felt far beyond the food itself—it brought joy, relief, and a sense of community to those who needed it the most. Our families were deeply touched by your kindness, and many shared how much these gifts meant to them during the holiday season.
Some testimonials included: “ All this for me” – Parent of a 5th grader, “I get to keep the bins?! I can store our clothes in these since we are moving” – Parent of a 1st grader, “ I have enough to last the break. I was a little worried because our heat was cut off and I needed to pay but we needed food too. I just can’t find the word to say how much this has helped our family” – Parent of 4th graders. We were also able to provide some gift cards as additional support over the holidays for families.
Overall, your support has made a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and their families. We appreciate not only the tangible gifts but also the love and compassion that came with them. Thank you for being such a blessing to our school community!
